In his latest article for the Scotsman, David Alexander delves into the topic of the rent freeze policy, stating it as a “lose-lose situation for the tenants.”

David warns of the impact of extending this policy to other parts of the UK, as he cites the consequences that tenants have faced as a result of similar policies that have been implemented across the world.

“Freezing rents will only make the situation worse as tenants will find it harder to get accommodation, they will wait longer to get a home, and will pay more in rent if they do find somewhere.”
